Owl Card

Well, it's been a while my blog friends. I've been busy working on my daughter's 5th birthday party decorations. More on that when they are done. On to my post. Over on the cricut message board I chat with some ladies I consider my friends. Here is the link to our thread: http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst60038_-HELLO-MONDAY----WELCOME-CRICUT-CHATTERS.aspx We each take turns choosing a little used cartridges we might have. My friend Debbie challenged us to make something with an owl. Apparently she really likes owls. I tried to go for something not so cutsey. I do love the owl on Create a Critter but alas I went with the owl card on Just Because Cards. I think that cartridge was getting a little lonely. I really should play equally with all my cartridge friends.
The card is cut at 5 3/4 the owl is cut at 10 inches. I know this may sound huge, but it cuts it in relation to the card size. I had to adjust the size until I got the size I wanted. This made my daughter happy, she got all my practice cuts. She calls them the mommy and the babies. I cuttlebugged all the layers. I wasn't too sure about how it would turn out, but I kind of like it.

Do you like my laundry?

I've been wanting to try resticking my cricut mats for a while. Being I live overseas, I can't just run out and buy new mats. I noticed that I'm down to my last new mat so I'm giving this a try. Yes, there are 15 of them babies. I washed them all and had them propped up on a towel to dry, then I decided maybe they needed some room between them. So I hung them up on clothes drying rack. I hope this works. I have the Zig two way chisel pen ready to go when they are dry. Otherwise I have to pay HUGE shipping cost to get more mats. Wish me luck.

Life's A Beach Card

Over on the Cricut Message Board a small group of us chat pretty much on a daily basis about our lives. Latley we have been taking turns choosing a cartridge for us to use to make a project. This week my friend Joy chose Life's a Beach. I think she may have chosen this one to try and hurry up the warm weather. Anyway, this card made me feel a bit warmer. The best thing is that I used all scraps. So, it counts for the Scraps4fun.com blog challenge. I hope you like it.

Scraps 4 Fun Blog Challenge Cards

I'm participating in the Scraps 4 Fun Blog challenge. Today I pulled out the purple and red patterned paper scraps. All the cricut cuts I had done previous and were just waiting for a project. I love to cut stuff out and glue it together for later I guess. If you want to join the challenge all the details are at scraps4fun.com (sorry I don't know how to put in the link) I'm having a great time with this challenge.

High School Musical Card

I have a friend who tutors a little girl who is obsessed with High School Musical and her birthday is coming up. So I raked my brain trying to come up with something. I thought maybe I could find something on the Hannah Montana cartridge. Then I remembered I had bought the High School Musical clear stamps from Walmart a few years ago. I thought there were some cute images that could be used for something, not necessarly High School Musical. Fast forward to today, I remembered the stamps and this is what I came up with. I used my cricut for the Happy Birthday from Beyond Birthday and even used scraps for the cuts. I'm not too sure I like it. It looks a little like my 4 year old made it.

Scraps4Fun Blog Challenge

My new friend Sonia at http://www.scraps4fun.com/ has issued a challenge for us to use up all those scraps. We need to make a minimum of 20 cards. I say easy-peasy, I could make 20 cards in my sleep. O.k., now I've said it out loud so I have to do it. The instructions were to take a picture of our scrap storage and then post on our blog. So here is what I'm workin with. Keep checking back to see my progress.
